So for over a year now ive been experiencing an issue where zoning a few clients will essentially lock up and stop responding.

Ive narrowed it down to a windows 7 64 error with dx9c. Ive installed every dx9 version. Patched through all the dx9 that comes with eq. Ive even messed with cpu afinity and size windows through the ini. Ive wiped out all character data files reinstalled windows gone from 7 to 10 back to 7. Ive got no answers and google is not my friend.

I have no idea how to fix this and im getting pretty fustrated. Any ideas or sugestions are welcome. Heeeelllllppppp

Expletus, did you ever try to use full screen/window mode? like toggle to whatever you don't use? I think I play in window mode. I think one runs better than the other but I could be wrong.

Ive downloaded every version I could find. i've updated every patch and researched many many hours to figure it out. One person was able to look at my crash log and showed a dx9 crash. However, nothing I do fixes it. I believe it to be related to my motherboard but since it's outdated by several years, no updates are available.

Im basically SOL until I update my system however it is a beast and runs modern games in ultra max settings with no issues.

Yes. I've played on EZserver for several years prior to coming here. The problem with my dx9 started happening after upgrading my system. Everything has been uninstalled, reinstalled.

I have literally done everything. I don't have the issues on my laptop.

More than likely something doesn't play nice with DX9. It's 100% a DX crash, but what hardware is conflicting is unknown.
